| My name is Ragnar Schierholz. I am originally from Vlotho, Germany but live in Switzerland currently. To be more specific, I live in Basel right now.I work as a Scientist at ABB’s Swiss Corporate Research Center. I’m working in the Software Applications and Processes department and in the IT Security team. | Before that, I worked as research associate at the Institute of Information Management of the University of St. Gallen. Besides that I was enrolled as PhD student at the same university. My research interests were in customer relationship management (CRM), mobile business and information security. My PhD thesis was on the design of mobile customer interaction, i.e. channels for customer interaction based on mobile technology, esp. cellular. |  |
| Besides my research, I’m interested in pretty much anything related to kewl new web stuff, good funk or rock music and different sports. In my spare time I like to go inline skating, cycling or hiking and I like playing the drums (even though I had little opportunity to do so recently). |
